Sorry if this is a Noob question, but I built a new i7 based system using an Asus mobo (P7P55D) that has a typical front panel connector layout (the power switch, HDD light, reset switch, etc...). Problem is that the case, an Intel server case(Intel SC5295-E), has a single cable connection for the front panel lights, HDD, Power switch- and the connections don't jive together- The single connector does slide onto the mobo pin header, but the case Reset switch acts as the power switch.
I can live with it, but does anyone know of an adapter from one architecture to another that will allow all the features to work such as the power switch, power light, reset. etc. ? Or of a way to make it work ?
I can't be the ONLY person this happened to ?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
