Motherboard Problem - Not posting

Friends building a m-itx, it's a new fm2+ board with a kaveri cpu. The board will not post, everything else fires up, the ram, the cooler. It just isn't producing any display.

Motherboard - GA-F2A88XN-WIFI

It's gigabyte, and there dual bios makes me think that both can't be corrupted. I am sourcing a DVI monitor in-case the HDMI output is the problem. There is no header for an internal speaker or digi display to give an error code. Does anyone have any experience of these problems or can link me to a good trouble-shooting guide?

ya , I think this is a good way to start with that myself-- I had to go to dvi to hdmi due to hdmi to hdmi did not work out for me on a different system and just stuck with that.
