Good evening!
Guys if the hardrive is good, and I want to change the bad motherboard do I need to install new OS on old hardrive or not?

Solution
The easiest way would be to get an external USB drive that's large enough to hold all your critical data.

Just note that you will need to reinstall and configure all your programs and games once you reinstall Windows. You can't just backup a 'program folder' and drop it back onto a new Windows and expect it to work. This also means that you'll only be backing up data files like pictures, videos, documents, spreadsheets, save games, and other specific data files for programs/games.
