Motherboard Problem!!

I'm trying to fix a motherboard for a friend.

The problem is that the monitor won't turn on when I start the power to the computer. I'm thinking its the motherboard...

Its a Intel GerG2 Motherboard, I'm pretty sure the PSU, memory, harddrive, cdrom works, I'm inthe process of testing them out.


Does anyone have any ideas of anything, or to find out if it's the motherboard for sure.

Yes, try to clear the CMOS. Remove the battery and short the jumpers for 30 seconds.

You need to do the dreadfull task of "Process of Elimination". First try the monitor on another computer. If it works then try another video card. If its not these 2 things, then it is probably the motherboard. Good luck!
