I've Intel Core i3 6100 and I wanted to buy a motherboard, so I saw this motherboard in my local shop "Gigabyte GA-B150-HD3 Socket 1151" I asked the guy there if it supports DDR3 memory because I saw on the box saying DDR3 so, he said no, only DDR4.

Is this right? Do I need DDR4 for this motherboard?

[strike]The CPU only supports DDR4, so you will need a DDR4 board.[/strike]
Sorry, looks like the CPU supports DDR3L as well.

[strike]That motherboard only supports DDR3, so they will not be compatible.

Looks like the board supports DDR3L and the i3 6100 is on the CPU supported list for that board, so they should work.
