motherboard / ram / cpu clarification

I am looking for some clarification on compatibility between the 3. at the moment i have a z77 motherboard with i7 3770k and ddr3 ram. i am looking to upgrade the mobo and ram to ddr4, with the possibility to also upgrade to skylake cpu. what i am wondering is whether this board can utilise ddr4, and is there a board that will support the i7 3770k, both ddr3/4 and skylake processors (i realise this is unlikely). any clarification on these issues

to upgrade to DDR4 and new Skylake you will need compatible motherboard, Z170.

The i7 3770K only supports DDR3. If you want to use DDR4 RAM, then you have no other choice but to buy a new motherboard and CPU all together. Why would you upgrade anyways? You still have a very powerful and capable chip
