I have a motherboard with windows 7 and 10. Sometimes when the bios says I have 2gb of ram it doesn't freeze and I don't have a problem, In windows it would say 4gb (1.96 usable). But when both slots are active and it says 4gb of ram, it freezes after a few minutes. I have tried with multiple sticks of ram. Please help.

All of the sticks where 2x2 kits.

Gigabyte GA-H55MS2H (rev 1.0)

Current ram: Unifosa 2GB DDR3 128Mx3 PC3-10600 GU512303EP0202

Other kit: Patriot PGD34G1333ELK 4GB (2x2GB) KIT

The system isn't overclocked, and I set it to factory defaults.

I tested the Patriot with either DIMM on either slot and it performed normal.

It's not only in wimdows, before the windows boot it had to check the HDD and it froze. I don't believe it is a hard drive failure because I recently upgraded, and both of my HDDS worked fine on my old PC. Also both OS's have separate drives so it can't be a disk problem.

I have tried it with the 2 ram kits I have and ive had the same outputs, and I am certain that they work. I think it has something to do with the bios.

I found a way in the BIOS, what should I set it to? It goes from 1.3v to 1.64v. It gets higher but after 1.64v it gets pink and then it flashes red. It also doesn't have a 1.65v option.
