I am replacing my motherboard from AM3+ to LGA1150 and I was wondering would I be able to use my old copy of windows? My computer came with 8.1 pre-installed on the disk and would it be gone if I change the motherboard? Do I need to buy a new copy? I've searched about this and all of the threads have been VERY confusing for a starter.

Thank you.

EDIT: If I am able to use my copy of Windows, what drivers do I need to delete?

When you rebuild your computer you will need to format your hard drive and do a new install of windows. You can't plug in your old hard drive and install and have it work. So uninstalling drivers is a moot point.
