I read somewhere that recomended a H67 or Z68. On newegg this motherboard has a H61 chipset and they recomend the intel processor im questioning http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128524
Im confused about chipsets.
Also, do I need a graphics card with this intel processor?

That will work, the CPU has integrated graphics so you don't need a dedicated unless you are gaming or doing something intensive, all LGA1155 boards will support that CPU.

Also to make it a little easier, your CPU is a Sandybridge CPU or is 'second gen', anyboard that is LGA1155 will work with that CPU.

Great, glad to hear that I have many choices. You're being very helpful , I havent built a computer since 2004.

Can I ask, what atvantages would I see in different chipsets? and/ or could you recomend one over the other. We do mostly shopping on the internet,forums,facebook and stock trading.
Is it wise to stay with an ASUS or Gigabyte motherboard?

Some will support more features, some will support newer technologies..

For basic things cheap boards would be enough, like Asrock, intel and biostar boards, some Asus and Gigabyte are cheap like this -
