Greetings, experts! I've got a question that's bothering me, because I (unfortunately) know almost nothing about motherboards, and I'm requesting help.
I'm in the process of selecting parts for a new gaming rig, with the goal of running Battlefield 4 smoothly. I've decided to use the AMD HD 7870 XT GPU, as it seems to offer quite good performance for its price, and I'm wondering what motherboard I should choose, and what exactly CPU I should pick along with it. I'm thinking about the Intel Core i5-3570K, is it a good choice? And what motherboard would be the right decision if I seleted this processor?
My budget is around 700€, which equates to about $900 and £500. I can affort a bit more than that, but not too much. Maybe a hundred euro more at most.

Thanks in advance for reading this, I now leave myself to your wise counseling. Please help me.

Well, to be honest, I've got nothing right now, so I'll need the memory, the power supply, storage, all that stuff. :)
Thanks for the recommendations. I think I'll stop on the ASUS P8Z77 board. I also added the 2x4GB RAM Corsairs that you recommended, and a Corsair CX750 power supply that Amazon recommended me. Is 750 W good for future-proofing or is it a bit too much?
Currently, with the motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, and power, the price is 600 pounds, which is a bit overboard but affordable (I think). Now, what else should be considered? A hard drive? Possibly an SSD?

Thank you! I actually did want to be able to overclock when it's necessary, not just yet if the CPU can handle it, besides, I don't really care for the graphics, and if need be, I would run Battlefield 4 on minimal settings. But seeing as the CX750 is only ten pounds more expensive than the CX650, I think that it would be better to get the 750 so I would (probably) never have to change it later on. Point on the SSD taken, and I think that the 1TB HDD will suit me just fine.
So, let's sum up: ASUS P8Z77 mobo, Intel Core i5-3750K CPU, AMD HD 7870 XT GPU, CX750 PSU, 2x4GB 1600 Mhz RAM, 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD. All for 650 pounds, which is right about €750 euro. Great!
Now if you could recommend me a good, reliable case for all this, you'd be the most amazing person ever. 😛

Right, thanks again! I'm really liking the Coolermaster Storm Enforcer out of these your suggested, so I might just go with it. In the end, everything totals to 720 pounds, which is about €830. Fortunately, I can manage this price.

Thanks a lot for your help, werner123. It's really appreciated.
