Question Motherboard short circuit

Is it possible that my laptop motherboard are short circuit when my laptop battery charge very well? I actually changed my laptop ram yesterday and after I did that my laptop won't turn on, I try to consult to my local repair service and they say it might be the motherboard are short circuit (I just text them first)

Actually, I don't. That what my local repair shop says. I just want to know if it is possible

So your repair shop have concluded that there is a short circuit based on your sms conversations - or without seing/testing the computer ?

Based on the sms. I have not bring my laptop to the shop yet as they're still closed and not open until tomorrow but they did reply my message.
