motherboard slow internet speeds

i bought a new asus m5a99 pro r2 and now my internet is getting 10 mbs when it was getting 90 mbs i dont get why ive uninstalled reinstalled pcie driver and also got the driver from a different website and installed it nothing is working and its killing me i called asus support and the guywas dumbfounded. he told me to call linksys but i belive i ruled that out not to be the problem my hooking my laptop up to the ethernet cable and got 80 mbs ?

That is strange, motherboard should not slowdown internet speed.
Instead of using the PCIe, use the default Ethernet on the motherboard.

sorry i messed up i meant the default one i dont have an aftermarket PCIe card

Check if any software is using up your internet. Antivirus maybe.

i dont have anti virus and i turned my firewall to see and still nothinh

Ok, I was looking around and I found this ASUS icontrol issue which tends to slowdown internet. Run ASUS AI suite uninstaller and remove icontrol.

i dont believ i have the asus icontrol or ai suite how can i find that out i looked in my promgrams and dont have that program ;/

What did you have previously and if it was a different motherboard, did you re-install Windows?

i had a gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 and yes i had to reinstall windows on my pc

theres nothing on my pc that lets me get to that ;(

Well then it is hard to say what is causing the problem you can buy a PCie wifi card and use it wireless maybe instead of doing it through ethernet.

i found out that if i directly hook it up to my modem i get 94 mbs so sorry and thankyou for helping me
