Hello,

If you are using a 7.1 surround headset (usb) on a motherboard which embedded soundcard only supports 5.1 does 7.1 work over USB?

Hi
If you connect the headphone to the DAC included in the box, to a USB port, you get 7.1 surrounding sound. But if you connect it to the 3.5mm port on the motherboard, you're using the onboard Realtek DAC which, in your case, supports 5.1.
