Hello, i have a m5a97 pro motherboard, and need to troubleshoot it since it doesn't POST. But when i try to connect an "aftermarket" motherboard speaker to the specific pins, nothing. I tried reversing it, nothing. It was that 4-pin with wires on both ends. Separated it, and then connected the red wire to +5V and the black wire to GND (closer to the +5V, was not working on the other GND). It produced a mettalic clickity sound, and started to heat up. What should i do?

Well, i bought them "aftermarket". One was something that you can order on ebay, simply 4pin connector with two cables and the speaker itself. This didnt work, so i went to a store and bought a 5V and 1.5V one, since i had not much time to google which one i needed. Thought, i found it fast enough to not use the 1.5V, but the 5V is not working either 🙁
