Motherboard / SSD question

Hello, so i recently bought GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard and i want to get a SSD and add it to the motherboard but the motherboard is SATA 2 and the SSD i wanna get is SATA 3 will i be able to use the SATA 3 SSD on a Sata 2 motherboard?If so which cable i should get for them to work SATA 2 or SATA 3?

Yes you can, but the SSD will run significantly slower than on a SATA 3 capable board.
