[SOLVED] Motherboard suggestion for ryzen 5 2400g pls

I'm PLANNING to buy a 2400g. And I would really like someone to suggest a good cheap motherboard, I am not planning to overclock! (even if I do I would overclock very very slightly) Also, I would like to understand something. What does "AMD RYZEN 3000 DESKTOP READY" mean? Does that mean if it's a B450 chipset motherboard, I would have to like downgrade the bios or something? Also, I don't understand bios update at all. Like at ALL, I would really love it if someone explains what bios update is and how to do it. Thanks!

You can get away with a B350 chipset motherboard or even an A320 chipset if you want to keep costs low. You can pair a DDR403200MHz ram kit with said APU on the board, provided you've managed to get the parts to POST and update the BIOS.

What does "AMD RYZEN 3000 DESKTOP READY" mean?
It means that the board will cooperate with Ryzen 3000 CPU's/APU's out of the box, sans any BIOS updates. Per your question about the BIOS, downgrade, if the BIOS version on said board supports the 2400G, then no, you don't need to perform a BIOS downgrade.

I know this question is really stupid but, does "AMD RYZEN 3000 DESKTOP READY" mean it's compatible with 1st gen, 2nd gen and 3rd gen all out of the box? Or does it mean it's compatible with 1st gen, 2nd gen and 3rd gen yes but it's bios version is ready for 3rd gen only? I'm so confused lol. I just wanna know if Ryzen 5 2400G would work with it out of the box. pls.

When the board says 3000 ready that means, it auto compatible with the previous generation in this case, if its the same architecture in this case this board supports the 1000,2000 and 3000 series, some 450 boards supports the 5000 series also with bios update. in short this board is AM4 socket board.

for some motherboards due to cache limitation once you update the bios for 5000 series, it does not remember the 1000 or the 2000 series, But that does not happen to all the boards it happens in some B450 boards, i suggest you to buy a B550 board, and if you are buying a 5000 series CPU, then you dont need to think about the old gen.
