Motherboard suggestions please

These are my current specs.
Case: ATX size
CPU: Intel core i5 4690 @ 3.50Ghz
Power: POWEREX REX III 600W Triple V2.3
RAM: (4x4) 8.00GB DDR3
Motherboard: ECS B85H3-M3
Graphics: Gigabyte Geforce GTX1070 UDV D5 8GB Windforce
Storage: SSD 129GB
WD: 465GB

I am planning to change my motherboard, increase ram to 8x8 and maybe add a 1TB storage.

Any suggestions for a nice 100~300 USD range please?

RAM 8 + 8. I wanna increase it to 16.00GB DDR4

True! Didn't think about that. I guess I have 2 options.

1. What motherboard would be compatible with my current CPU and upgrading to DDR3 16.00GB RAM?

2. If I upgrade my CPU what motherboard with a DDR4 16.00GB RAM?

Well, your motherboard supports 16gb of RAM. If you were gonna upgrade your CPU and notice a performance increase, it'd be out of that price range.

I guess 16gb RAM could be the way to go. It's all good currently with the latest games but I feel like its time to start upgrading some parts. Budget aside.

Do you think I need to change my motherboard in terms of performance or brand?

CPU is great. Don't need to change that. Maybe get a nice cooler to make it perform better if you haven't. The motherboard seems fine to me, I don't see why you'd need to. Get some more RAM, and then you'll be good. If you're looking for TOP NOTCH performance then look at an i7.

I'll just increase my RAM by 16.
