Anyway, I cant decide which mobo to get, my friends all tell me different, so I came here.

Any help appreciated thanks abunch

Either P35 or x38 chipset

Depends if you wanna save some money. Gigabyte GA-P35_DS3L is awesome and cheap. DS3R and 3P are great.
Asus has the P5K and P5e to look at

Hmm, yeah i was looking at the P5k, theres abuncha versions of that to, am I right to assume that the other versions that cost more for example just have additional addons of sorts and aren't EXTREMELY different when it comes down to the basics?

P5K vanilla has the same basics are the P5K deluxe, its just the added extras that you get. Currently the best price/features board in that range is the P5K-e

When I bought my system a few months ago I was constantly looking for the right motherboard and I finally went with Gigabyte P35 DS3L, I got it for a little under $100. Works awesome, survived an exploding PSU and many bumps and stuff. It says ultra durable, and heck yes it is.
