I have a motherboard GA-EP31-DS3L and in manual says that support only 4Gb of ram, but I installed 8Gb, 4x2, and it works fine, in windows all of 8Gb is registered... so my question is could I burn memory, cpu, or chipset if I leave it like this. Thanks

Solution

Probably not. If it works, don't worry about it. If you start experiencing instability or problems, take one out.

Hello, I know that I spend a lot of time, but I am interested in knowing where you got 8gb of ddr2 ram of 4gb each.
