Motherboard test startup, no beep

Hi I am building my own pc and I was doing a test startup (motherboard + cpu + ram + intergrated graphics) and I hear no beep. The system goes straight into the asrock setup guide and the cpu fan keeps spinning very fast. Specs:
i5 3570k
CM EVO TX 3
Asrock z77 pro3
Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz cl9
CX 600

Hi,
Have you connected a case speaker to the motherboard? If not, then no beeps.
For fans, check if a fan control is available in BIOS and if enabled.

I did connect a case speaker, although I must admit I initially put it in the wrong way around. Could this have broken it? And is it normal for it to go directly to the setup utility? I don't think it is actually booting up and when I try to exit the setup it repeats itself and goes back to it

That's not normal. I suggest testing with a different keyboard (borow one if possible).

What has the keyboard to do with it? I initially didn't even connect a keyboard/mouse I just wanted to know if the system booted (post) normaly. It begins normally with black screen saying the brand but then it inmidiatly goes to the setup without me pressing any buttons
