Motherboard upgrade needed?

Yes. You can not use an AM3+ CPU with an AM3 motherboard.

Not sure what you mean by "better". Either way if you want the 8320 you will need a new motherboard. If you plan to overclock I would recommend getting the non LE version of that board.
