[SOLVED] Motherboard Upgrade

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and an asrock a320m-dgs. I want to upgrade to either a b450 or to a b550 but i don't know which of the two I should pick.
I am planning to do a small overclock at the near future. My budget is around 100 euros. I would have gone straight to a b550 but i am wondering whether or not in roughly 2-3 years from now if b550 will be compatible to upgrade (i am mostly talking about the cpu). The question i am asking is whether or not i should buy a mid range b550 or a little more high end b450 (like an b450 tomahawk max) now that the prices have dropped?

Ryzen 5000 series CPUs is probably the last generation on AM4 boards. So that's something to consider.

So if I have a R7 with b450 motherboard now. Are you suggesting it is wiser to stay with my current machine and wait for new generation of boards and processor?

I'd recommend looking up what you can expect from manually overclocking a Ryzen 3600. And weight the % gain against the cost of a new mobo that will max out at Ryzen 5000 CPUs.
