Question Motherboard warranty

Hi guys,

i just got my motherboard from RMA due to sudden shutdown during normal use. And they stated that they replaced the bios chip since its the culprit of the problem


My question is does BIOS chip have anything to do with sudden shutdown of pc? or PC that keeps on turning on then of then off without getting into post

You never know what electronics can do.
But I know that I've reversed my bios chip on exactly this motherboard that I am currently using and its working fine.

I do not know most of stuff on motherboard or how it works, but your question, have possible answers of no and yes.
