Motherboard Wi-Fi Antenna Upgrade

However, the Wi-Fi antenna it comes with is ugly in my opinion. Can I change the wifi antennae, and if so, what should I buy?

The "shark fin" is ugly? It will provide much better signal than any stubby antennas you mound directly to the motherboard.

If all you care about is appearance you can mount the antenna inside the case so you can't see it.....oh wait then then metal case will block all the wifi signal too.

The actual best antenna are going to be large and placed away from the case.

Maybe the best option with a desktop machine is to not use wireless at all and use ethernet if you have any option to do that. Then you do not even have to install the wifi antenna.
