Planning to buy 2400MHz ram hyperX fury 2x8 2400MHz ddr4. But my motherboard MSI H110M-Pro VD shows it only supports 2 slots of 2133MHz ram(mini atx board). But I tried to run my one non branded ddr4 8 gig stick on 2400MHz through the bios and it let me choose 2400MHz in bios, so im thinking maybe 2400MHz ram would work? While looking at the ram usage in windows 10, it actually showed that its running on 2400Mz instead of 2133MHz. Thanks

You are ok.
DDR4 ram will have a default speed of 2133 that lets you get into the bios and change the speed if both your motherboard and ram allow it.
So even though my motherboard says it supports max 2133MHz ddr4 ram, I still would be able to run ddr4 2400MHz if there is an option to change it to 2400MHz in the bios?
