Motherboard with a combination of 4-pin and 8-pin power connector

My mother (Gigabyte z390 aorus pro wifi) has both ATX 12v 2x2 and ATX 12v 2x4 psu connector for CPU. Therefore, should I connect the psu cable to both 4 pin and 8pin connector or just one.

If your PSU has a 4+4 pin connector, use it on the 8-pin header. If your PSU only has a 4-pin connector use it on the 4-pin header. What PSU are you using?
