Motherboard with full memory

Can I install up to four ram sticks on my MSI 970 AM3+ gaming motherboard? I already have a 8gb of ram on my motherboard and I don't know if I can install it up to 32gb of ram or just up to 16gb of ram. Thanks in advance.

If thinking 32GB, best to get all in a single package, no guarantees when mixing packages - also what CPU? The MC (memory controller) of your CPU will determine what speed of DRAM you can run 😉

My CPU is AMD FX 8350.

With 8350 if going 32GB would look at 1600 or 1866
