[SOLVED] Motherboard with ram

My mother board can only take 2400mhz team (Msi pc mate b250) if I put 3200mhz ram what will happen

It will run at 2400 max. Possible it won’t boot without you manually setting timings and voltage in bios.

Well, if you are planning to upgrade soon then you could carry DDR3200 to a newer CPU but if you aren’t for a couple years I would stick with DDR2400

I have 16gb that should be fine for now was just wondering if it's worth it but I will wait till 16gb goes to ---- then upgrade my motherboard and ram
