Motherboard Without Protective Cover

I recently changed my CPU and I am waiting for the new one to come and I have the motherboard CPU socket without foxconn protective socket cover in my case.Can it get damaged from anything like dust?

I wouldn't be too concerned about dust. You didn't say what socket type. AMD sockets would be less vulnerable since the pins are on the CPU. Intel sockets with the pins on the socket are more vulnerable since the pins are exposed. But dust shouldn't be an issue for either.

Simply blow the socket out with compressed air before install, I do that with brand new out of the box

It is 1150 socket...if I install my CPU and there is dust inside the socket, will it do any damage to my components?
