hi i'm trying to run an ASUS GTX660-DC2-2GD5
on an ACER AG3620-UR308...

this computer came with a gt 630..
the gtx 660 plugs in and is powered on and running, but there is no signal to monitor
ACER gave me this reply:

I checked the specifications and found that your system is pre-installed with PCI Express® 2.0 x16 slot. You are required to add a video card that is compatible with the expansion card.

It seems that the new video card is not compatible with the expansion card.

Please remove the new video card and install the pre-installed video card to check if the issue persists.

this is the dumbest thing i've heard, the 660 fits in a x16 slot.. it's a 3.0, but i'm pretty certain 3.0's are usable in 2.0 slots...

so, should i update all my drivers and BIOS "uefi"?

this computer has 2 bios updates, i'm not sure which one to do
should i just install both in cronological order of availability?

ACER is basically lying, but you modified the system so they absolutely will not support it or take responsibility. You should expect that.

Did you plug in the pcie power connectors? The GT 630 does not have any. The 660 needs them. What are the PSU specs? It will have a label on the side. Specifically the 12V specs. It's bound to be crappy and may not be able to power a 660. It's a very weird system setup in general
