I recently added 2 8gb sticks of gskill ram to my asus z87 pro mobo (in addition to 2x4gb). I loaded everything up and it turned out I installed one incorrectly, so I went back and fixed it. Throughout this process I turned the computer on and off several times and was tweaking things in the bios. Theses changes were mostly unrelated to the ram, although I changed the clock speed to the manufacturer's rating of 1600mhz. I got everything installed correctly and the bios recognized all 4 sticks, but when I was in windows and looked in task manager, it said I only had 16gb (should have 24). I went back into the bios and changed some settings, but then I didnt want to change anything and turned the computer off while it was in the bios. Now when I turn my computer on all the fans turn on like normal (fast at first, then slow after a few seconds) but the monitor doesn't detect a signal and my keyboard and mouse don't power on. I'm pretty confused and don't know where the problem is. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Solution
Looks like a faulty ram. Try with one ram in one slot also restore bios to default by removing the battery(cr2032) for a min and then reinsert it.
The ram is same brand, same clock speed, same everything except capacity. I reset the bios and things started working fine after a bit. I tested each card individually and found that they all work, which confused me. After more research I realized that I'm just dumb and that my os (windows 7 home premium) only supports 16gb of ram.
