Motherboard won't line up with I/o shield or case pci slots

I'm currently trying to install an Asus prime x370-pro motherboard into a corsair spec-alpha case. The motherboard lines up with the pre-installed standoffs, but wouldn't align with the I/o panel. After a while I decided it wasn't the biggest deal if I didn't have the I/o shield, so I moved on. When trying to install my gpu, it wouldn't line up with my case's pci slots. For both of these issues the height is correct, the motherboard is sitting a few mm down to far for both problems. I'm not sure what else to try, I feel like something is wrong with my case. Nothing is bent but I can't figure out what is wrong. Any one have a solution to this?

There are some pictures of the motherboard lined up with the I/o panel and not lined up with the stand offs, lined up with the standoffs and not with the I/o panel, and lined up with the standoffs and not lined up with the case's pci slots

I have never seen anything like that before, and I've assembled more PCs that I can remember. You definitely have an issue that can only be related to the case itself. Have you ever had another board in that case before?
I would contact Corsair and tell them you have photos to explain the problem.

If it wasn't for the pictures, I wouldn't have believed it. Cases like that are assembled en mass on assembly lines and fabricated using precision jigs. A single case being off is almost impossible. I'd be interested in knowing Corsair's response.

It's almost as if the whole motherboard is sitting a quarter inch too high. Hard to imagine how that could have happened. I'll be sure to post what they say as soon as their customer service portal will work for me lol.

Even if you leave out the IO shield, the gfx card still won't line up with its mounting holes, will it?

It didn't ^^^. I just picked up another case, same kind today. Everything popped right in and had the whole computer together in 20 min. For the life of me can't figure out what was wrong with that other case

Another case of the same make/model? What case was it?
