Motherboard won't load past POST, but gives a post beep. Any ideas?

Hey all,

I am currently working on a small home PC and amidst messing around with bios settings, something has gone wrong. I switched to legacy support, usually when I do this it will just say it can't find a boot drive (because the drive is in UEFI) however I was doing this while troubleshooting a graphics card. Unfortunately, now the computer will POST beep but then it will get stuck loading at the splash screen. Really quite odd. I have tried everything I can possibly think of from checking peripherals to taking out components and reseating CPU, resetting CMOS and removing the battery. Nothing has worked. The caps lock light on my keyboard still does toggle, and it will register if I press a key to get to the bios, however it will just highlight the option I selected and remain stuck. Thanks in advance for any suggestion you may have!

NOTE: I am running a dell motherboard from an Alienware x51 r1 model # 8PG26 bios version A08

Solution
1| It could be an indication that your boot drive is showing signs of it's impending departure alongside a faulty pair(stick) of ram.

2| You seem to have a BIOS update available for your system here.

3| Might I ask of your prebuilt's system's specs inclusive of your OS? Were any changes made to the system?
