Motherboard wont register CPU

Hello,

My build consists of:

• 
  RX580
  MSI B360M PRO-VH
  I3 8350k
  HYPER 212 EVO
  EVGA 650W

The build was built the first time without the cpu power cable in on accident. The motherboads EZ debug led for the cpu came up and no fans turned on. After reseating the cpu this was discovered.

This was ammended by plugging the cpu power supply back in however it still does not boot and shows the same lights.

Any idea why it wouldn't work?

I would reseat the processor just to eliminate the possibility it wasn't seated right in the first place.

I have already done this but without wiping the top of the processor but I will do this on monday

I don't think there's a good chance you damaged the processor by powering it up without that plug attached.

Ye I agree I've done it before on a previous build by accident and its been working I might contact Intel for an RMA

Well... it might be the MB.

...or maybe because it's a first time build....something isn't quite right.....that happens a lot......maybe go through everything step by step again.

I have gone through it quite thoroughly multiple times however I am yet to check the Mobo pins however there is nothing wrong with any other parts of the build.
