HI i have big problem with my system. Everytime i need to reset cmos battery or unplug usb devices to run motherboard. At my 5-10th try motherboard booting. And when i shut down pc, goes in to sleep mode, i can only shutdown from power supply switch.
motherboard asus p6x58d-e
ram 1333mhz 1600 mhz two sticks 4gb
core i7 930 processor
gtx 1050 ti video card.
PS; i tested my psu on other pc's, it runs without problem.

Solution

If the current BIOS is corrupted updating might solve the issue.

To me, it appears like a hardware failure happened?
After overclocking...were you keeping tracks of the temps on your PC?
Did you use a good cooler?
It wasn't a good idea to use a 4-pin power connector when overclocking to 4.0 GHz. It might work for a while if you have good PSU but eventually either the PSU, motherboard or CPU will fail...
Is the RAM from the Asus Qualified Vendor's List (QVL)? What's the model #?
What's the model of your PSU?

Does the PC boots OK if the USB device you mentioned is unplugged?
Maybe you need to access the BIOS and change the boot order in Boot menu.
Make the hard drive the first boot device or Windows Boot Manager.

sometimes it's works when i unplug usb keyboard etc. but not all time. 1 hour im trying to boot it but can't.
ram 1333 mhz kingston and hynix 1600 mhz. before system was working great, only stupid thing is i oced i7 930 with 4 pin power connector to 4.ghz. after 20 day i saw computer clocks loses it's time, and pc not shutting down well. psu is bqt-p4 520w 1.3

Just leave on e stick of RAM then reset the BIOS to default settings. You could also use the reset button (CMOS switch) in the motherboard to clear any changes from the overclock.
You are using mismatch RAM which is not recommended, specially if you are planning OCing

RAM like that could be running fine until it doesn't. Sometimes you might think is running fine because you are not able to see the errors.
With one RAM stick (alternate RAM sticks and RAM slots)
Unplug the power cable, press the power button for 15 seconds, then remove the CMOS battery.
Wait 15 minutes the insert back the CMOS battery, then connect the power cord and power on.
Are you able to enter the BIOS?

i did what you said. and with 1 stick of ram. again wont boot up. after this i used 2 sticks of ram & PC booted. Yes i can enter to the bios when i can boot motherboard. Still can't shutdown pc, Monitor goes to power sawing mode, but pc still running, fans spinning. This is never ends till i unplug power cable.

So it's failing to start as well as shut down properly.

I would first suggest trying to boot using integrated graphics (removing GPU) but that motherboard lacks video ports. If you have a spare graphics card I would try that for sure.

I would also try booting with only 1 stick in a different slot and attempting to boot with no USB devices or secondary displays connected. A BIOS update may also help.

It seems the system is getting stuck on something.

Yes once i try that. I try to boot it with very old card gt 9400. It's booted for first time. ( not shut down and again i unplug power cable) for second time not booted. My bios version is 0701 - 2011/07/02. in the site new bios available Version 0803 -2012/08/27 ( Fixed raid hdd size issue

*Note: Update Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Driver to v10.5.0.1026 to support full HDD capacity.(contained the driver) 247.05 MBytes
Do you think i need this bios?

Something weird wiht my clocks too. I change it to 12:00 for example, after 4 hour i see it's 13:50 or 14:20 something like this. + one more weird thing. Before this happened. i open game to play. everything was running in slow motion -30% -50% . i opened another games, and all game run slow ( not fps problem. fps is good. cpu and gpu usage is good. It's like game speed changed) + last one: my internet speed was 5mb/ps when i test it with speedtest . its shows 6.4-6.5 mb/ps. when i download something, down speed always was 500 kb ps, but this time down speed was 700-780 kb ps. All of this happened in one day. After i restart PC, cant boot it..i dont know what to do lol xD

I was overclocking the 920 and when it got to 3.5GHz the 8-pin cable was getting warm, so I imagine a 4-pin might be about to melt.

Do you have another PSU to try and see?

i tested another psu. no difference. and tested this psu in other pc, it works great. my 4 pin cable was cold, i stres tested cpu while oced, and hold the cable for 10 minute, it was cold. My temps stress test; max 75 c. gaming 60-70c depends on game. idle 45c. cooler be quiet pure rock 150w tdp. programs; speccy. msi afterburner. aida 64.

I think is the motherboard...CPUs can take more abuse.

I give motherboard to repair shop. after repair I will write here why it wasnt booting.

Sorry to hear that...I was afraid that motherboard was a goner.
Any time you overclock pay attention to the southbridge and the VRMs...keep them cool.

Big mistake is, this psu from 2003, very old. atx 1.3 standart. for this mobo need ATX 2.4 standart.. probably psu give alot of volts to bridges. Okay i will pay attention from now. Thank u for help )
