I have a system unit which won't turn on when the motherboard is mounted in its case. If I remove the board and place it on a wooden table, it turns to work fine but won't even power on when I assemble it back to its case. A friend told me to patch the case with Sellotape to avoid the motherboard touching the case. I have done all that but still the board won't power on in the case except on the table. Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Solution
How are the standoffs in your case?
If in correct locations then it is the only thing in the case that the board touches apart from the I/O shield. The Sellotape tells me there is something wrong!
