I recently bought a motherboard bundle (it had a Asus H110M-A/M.2 motherboard with intel skylake i5 6600k and 8gb of crucial RAM), an EVGA 500w psu, and a crappy old gt 440. So i set everything up, but the pc won't turn on. It only turned on twice, and after that all that happens is that the cpu fan does like, a quarter of a spin. Any help?

edit :when it did work, only the cpu fan span, not any others, and i have like 3 fans (including then cpu fan)

In this order:
1. Unplug and plug back in all the power supply and sata connections in the case. Check to see if the computer boots.
2. If not, take the graphics card out and plug your monitor into the onboard graphics. Does the computer turn on after doing that?
3. If not take all the memory sticks out and test each one, one at a time, seeing if the computer starts properly. Note: You may have to try different ram slots if step 3 doesn't work.
Let me know if none of this works and we'll proceed from there.

i've done step 1, can't do step three as i have only one memory stick

Thanks, also are you able to even get to the bios? It doesn't sound like it. Also disconnect both the power and sata from the hard drives and see if you can get to the bios. We are trying to disconnect all peripherals one at a time to diagnose if a specific part is keeping the computer from booting. Eventually there should be nothing plugged into the board except the monitor and power supply.

i think the power supply's fault, coz now it won't do anything, even with or without the gpu or hard drives, i am really confused and kinda irritated, do you have any idea of what could be happening?
