Hi, on last days when I turned on my computer, I got a message "BIOS is upgrading, don't shutdown" (I haven't started any BIOS upgrade), the message stays forever and never finishes.

Then I was rebooting the computer again after a few minutes when I see this message and it was working everything as usual. it happened for a couple days, then I tried to removed the battery/update firmwares and it haven't solved the issue. I also started to get sometimes Boot red led too, for a short time before booting.

Today I got a CPU red led for a few minutes, I thought there was a CPU issue, then I removed all the components and put it all together again, and I got the CPU red led light again. But, as same as the previous errors, it worked after keeping the computer on for a few minutes.

So, I believe it's not a CPU issue, but maybe some component on the (6 years) motherboard is dying and only works when it's "warm", 1. does it makes sense or anything else can be done? 2. Will my mobo not turn on anymore soon?

3. Some recommendations if it worths replace it with a cheaper LGA 1050 mobo like H81? (I don't really feel I need a faster computer now while everything is high priced today, the only feature I see useful comparing to the cheaper mobos is the 1866mhz RAM vs 1600mhz RAM, since I have 2x HYPERX 1866MHZ, I believe it would run at 1600mhz on a H81) .

CPU: I4790k
Motherboard: Z97 mark 2
Ram: Kingstone HyperX16GB (2x8) 1866MGZ
SSD/HDD: 2x SSD 256GB 1x HDD 2GB
GPU: GTX 1070
PSU: Corsair 800w (around 6 years)
Chassis: a cheap one
OS: Windows 10

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You could try and source a BIOS chip for your motherboard and resolder it to the motherboard(in place of the one that's on it). You can find said BIOS chip on Ebay. The H81 will let you go to a max of DDR3-1600Mhz but the ports on it would be your limiter, I believe you only have access to 2x SATA 3 ports. You could source a donor platform and see if the issue persists on said platform with your CPU to rule out a faulty/failing CPU.

As for your build, you're advised to list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Include the age of the PSU as well.

I've replaced the motherboard to a Asrock H81 and I am not seeing more the previous errors, it took a long time to boot the Windows and I got a drivers error message, but the onboard devices (sound/network) are working well.

Just there's only one slot for connecting the CPU FAN, and my water cooler has 2 CPU Cables (One for the base and another for the fan which is connected to the pipes), then I connected one cable into the CPU fan and another cable into the POWER FAN, then the watercoller FAN is running always at high speed, a bit noisy  (also the CPU is cooler than before too around 40c when browsing on internet).

I will review the drivers later and check if there's a way to invert the CPU FAN cables, except it, for now so far so good and I am working using the new MB.
