Question Motherboard's ethernet port has stopped working after power surge ?

Dell Optiplex with E93839 motherboard.

My ethernet port has stopped working after a power surge, everything else is still working fine, is it possible to fit a new network card to replace the faulty on board one? I I bought a PCI express Ethernet card but it’s not the right size to fit the MB, any advice gratefully received.

If no cards will fit there are a number of usb to ethernet adapters that you could consider.

I assume you mean it won't fix because the video card is blocking both slots. Tends to be a common issue on these smaller motherboards.

As mentioned above a USB ethernet is your best option. Look for USB3 and use a USB3 port to get gigabit speeds.
