[SOLVED] Motherboards for R7 3800x

What motherboard should i buy for the R7 3800x.
Currently im looking for x570 motherboards but i cant decide.
I will use my cpu with Turbo Boost for now , but later i would like to OC.

Are you planning on doing anything like SLI or NVLink?
Motherboards won't really affect OC and Turbo Boost beyond its chipset AFAIK

Max. 200-250$ ATX
No SLI or NVLink

Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570 is nice if you don't need built in wireless. It has a great onboard sound card and looks good.

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI or MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus ?
i had MSI Mobos and GPUs for years now and i really liked it, and doesnt really know the others.

Based on current reviews, overclocking with the 3800X (and Ryzen 3000 in general) is very limited. It may not be worth it investing extra in a motherboard for the sake of OC.

Do you even need an X570? Really only necessary if you want/need PCIe 4.0.

Doesnt really know, i just want to finish my pc and dont want to spend more on it for years.
My spec.:
VGA: MSI RTX 2070 Gaming z 8g
CPU: R7 3800x
RAM: 3600mhz cl 16 2x8gb tridentz neo
PSU: FSP HydroG 750W

Only thing is missing is a good Motherboard.

Basically if you think you'll upgrade to pcie gen 4 ssds later on and don't want to deal with bios updates and possible issues coming from it, you should get X570. Otherwise, B450 or X470 will do.

You would be fine with the turbo boost, basicly leaves no oc headroom.
Obviously get a decent mobo, but don't over spend on it. X570 steel legend would be my pick.

Yeah that's also a problem , i would like to avoid those issues and bios updates.
I stick with the x570 , only problem is in my country you have to wait like 2-3 weeks for almost every new "AM4" thing.
Thanks for the suggestions, i will get the one where i have to wait less time.

If you get a motherboard that has the BIOS flashback feature, or you buy one of the new MSI "Max" boards, you won't have to worry about the BIOS even if you don't get an X570 board.
