The motherboard just has the ports, in order for them to work you'd need a cpu/apu with built in graphics. So you could not run a 1400 without needing to add a dedicated gpu.I have a Gigabyte B450M DS3H Rev Level 1 Mother board. The product specifications state that the motherboard has Onboard Graphics. Does this mean that I could use a Ryzen5 1400 on this board without having to use a separate graphics card?
Thanks,
Roger
No.I have two CPUs (an AMD ryzen5 1400 AM4 and an AMD X4 950 AM4) and I would like to use one of them in a build.
Is there any Gigabyte, MSI, or Asus motherboard that will match up with one of these without the use of a separate graphic card?
No. There is no AM4 board with an igpu.Due to my lack on knowledge I have ended up with some mismatched computer parts. Actually AMD started this back in 2011 with FM1.It looks like the changes came along about the time AM4 was introduced
