Hi:
I just recently upgraded to Windows XP and my voice modem
no longer works. I get a yellow explanation point showing
in system. I have the original driver but it will not
work. Motorola does not support it anymore. Anyone know
how to get a driver that works with XP?

Thanks!
Scott

Try Google first and also try the store for a new modem.

Jim:
Thanks....That is what I will have to do. The only thing
is that it supports the Telephony software to use the
computer as a phone,, but I hear that they are hard to
find. I guess that I will bag that idea and just go with a
plain old modem.

Thanks!

Go to the Motorola webpage and get the driver. They do have a driver for Windows XP, release no. 6.05.00 and no. 6.02.13
the sm56 driver supports all the sm56 type modems (voice, speakerphone, data/fax/TAM)

http://www.motorola.com/softmodem/sm56_download.htm

You can also download a driver from microsoft updates, I believe it was released March 28, 2004
