I like to Host a Minecraft server for my three friends and I, However, we recently switched Providers and purchased a new Router so... the Port Forwarding options are a little Different...I tried to open port 25565 for the MC Server however the port is constantly closed and i cant figure out what im doing incorrect.

The remote host address should be left at 0.0.0.0 unless you want to limit who can use the server, since you can only put in one IP its rather useless unless you only want one person connecting. You got that right. Check.

Next is your side of the network the 192.168.x.x ip's and I assume you have the correct ip for the server, keep in mind if you did not RESERVE this IP for this device it may change as it gets turned on and off, power outages, etc.. Check.

I will assume you have the right ports so you should be good, may need to reboot the device [this is why IP reservation is best] to get it to run if it does not reboot itself, but yeah as long as ipconfing on the serving computer checks out to 192.168.0.6 your should be rocking now.

Yea, Everything was correct however the ports are still not working for the Server. I even tested it on http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and it said it was closed.... I also tried it on my Friend's Router (He has the same one) and it didn't work either....We finally rage quit and i started using Hamachi. I've never had a problem port forwarding on my last 3 Routers

I have to open a port for a Server at my house so i can access it at any network however...ofc the ports are constantly staying closed..... Looked around and i know 100% its a bug with Motorola or something

I tested to see if i could open port 80 and it works 100% okay however the other two ports are closed.
Is there a reason why port 80 was easly opened but the other two was still closed?

Solved it! Turns out the Port doesnt open until something requests it. So it kept reading it as closed until i finally opened up what i needed to be hosted on it and it said it was open
