I have a TV on a stand. the PC stands behind the TV to hide it. My idea is to mount the PC to the mounts (where normally the wall-mount would attach). that would require some sort of " shelf" or " L" for the PC to stand on that can be attached with the proper bolt spacing. the PC would need to be mounted with some sort of strap. the PCs i have are up to 175mm wide.

I saw some thin-client solutions, but they wouldn't work with a regular PC.

What are my options?

There are normal PCs in a small form factor that can be used with VESA adapters, this is a used 9020 Micro that will work for that...

That could be a very "iffy" setup.

Anything mounted to a wall, especially heavier items, need a bracket or shelf that is securely and squarely screwed into the wall studs. You may also need some bracing below that is also securely screwed in. Studs are not always conveniently located especially in locations where 24" centers are allowed.

And do bear in mind that there will be cables to manage. Bracket/shelf and all could look very nice but then the cables clutter it all up. You can hid the cables in any number of ways. Fine - just plan according....

Are you able to take a couple of photographs (without revealing anything personal) and post the photographs?

Seeing what you are planning and working with will be helpful.
