Hi, I recently got a new computer and unfortunately the case did not come with any spare screws that I could use for mounting the HDDs and SSDs onto the mounting brackets so I could put them inside my case. Similarly, I am only able to mount 2 brackets onto the pc again due to lack of screws.

Below is a link of the manual of my case where it specifies the type of screws I need to use and I also placed an Amazon link that I want to ask everyone if these screws could be used for my case?

I also need 2 extra thumb screws so I could mount a GPU anti-sag bracket which I believe the amazon product includes?

None of the screws I find online are exactly the “6-32x9mm” screws that the manual says, does it have to be this screw or could the ones I’ve listed in the links work?

My last question is in my pre-built computer, it has this cable connecting from the fan hub to the rest of what I think is the SATA power cables, and then the power cables are connected to the PSU.

I might need extra power cables for SATA drives and wanted to ask where I could purchase more power cables for my specific PSU? My PSU is Silverstone Strider Platinum SST-ST1200 PTS.

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

Solution

This screws set should be enough for any standard computer case.

Depending on the case's inner design, you might be able to use standard screws, if you want the screws with shoulder, this link has similar ones.

Thanks for letting me know. I would also need SSD screws and extra thumb screws. Any chance would the kits in the Amazon links do the trick for all that? I think the screws you suggested are similar to the ones I linked too, not too sure.

You are mostly ok with that screws assortment, the HDD screws you mentioned are to use with washers or special brackets for anti-vibration. But it doesn't mean that you can't use regular HDD screws.

Oh okay great, just wanted to make sure. Ya the HDD mounting brackets have some rubber that acts as a washer within the holes like you mentioned. Guess I’ll get that on amazon. When you said screws with shoulder, is the shoulder the part where the screw doesn’t have threading? Like there’s threading and then there’s just plain metal and then the screw head. Thanks a bunch!
