mounting issue for ryzen 1600x and asus 8350

hi guys
cant seem to mount this processor on this board.
I purchased the coolmaster 212 at microcenter
I also just purchased the above board and the ryben 5 1600x.

Nothing is aligned correctly. Did I purchase the wrong cpu fan/heat sink? the guy said it was compatible, but it just doesn't line up..

any ideas?

It is compatible for sure. Maybe you are doing it wrong. Make sure to follow the steps in the motherboard manual carefully.
