Mouse acting weird

it was working perfectly fine a couple of hours ago and then i joined a LoL game and it started going weird. it will stop working but i can still move it. i hove orver something sometimes and it will click on it, which happened in game. i tried disconecting and changing the usb ports to the front and change between mouse and keyboard but nothing. i plug it into my brothers laptop and it works fine (he was playing LoL also) then i plug in his small mouse and it worked fine for me. WHat could it be it says that the device is working properly and that there are no new updates. the light below is lit up

is it a virus? a bug? PLEASE HELP im freaking out

What do you mean: it stop working but can still move it ? ==> windows tells you the mouse is unplugged but still works ??

Even if you plug it in another usb: you have the same problem or the computer don't recognize the mouse anymore ?

When you try another mouse you don't have the problem I would rule out virus and usb port problems.

I would check the driver or just buy a 25-30 $ mouse to replace if you can't fix it

ill prob buy a new one i just started playing lol custom to try and it still persists.
but yeah everything i said was in detail and im playing right now and i wanted to buy 1 health potion and it clicked like 10 times and bought 5

also if i could disable the scroll button i could continue to use my mouse further
is there such a way to to this?

did you try using a different mouse? you said you have a brother which plays lol as well. steal his mouse for a few minutes, reboot your pc with the new mouse and see if you have issues.

if you do have issues then it is not the mouse. if you do not have issues then you have a mouse problem.

i am unsure of your problem as you wer NOT very clear. is the only problem that the mouse seems to click too many times?

for example you mean to left click once and it clicks 5 times. if this is the case then perhaps you can try blowing out the mouse and clicking on the button repeatedly to try to clear debris. something could be gumming up the mechanism.

you can disable the scroll wheel button but what does that have to do with anything? again you are being very obtuse and hard to understand.

the razer hex isnt all that great. it has many buttons for sure but its very easy to accidentally click them when you dont want to. you are also tied to razer synapse 2.0 which blows.

I had a vary similar problem where the right mouse button seemed to not work and some times odd think would happen, after opening up word I found that after hitting the right then the left buttons it would also make it look like i was hitting keys on the keyboard (I unplugged the keyboard and same thing) I tried other USB ports same thing. I tried installing the latest driver/software (I did not have the software installed before) the problem persisted. The mouse worked fine on a laptop so not a hardware thing.

I finally seem to have solved the problem by unplugging the mouse, uninstalling all the drivers and software, restarting the computer, then plugging the mouse in. It worked fine till I installed the software; I hit the restore to default and it seems to be working fine.

I do not know what exactly fixed it (probably restore to default) but I hope this helps the next person.
