Hello Everyone,

First post here!

So I just built a new rig a couple weeks ago with the following spec:

  • Motherboard: ASROCK H370 Performance
    CPU: Intel I5 8600k
    GPU: GeForce GTX 1080
Storage: SSD (WD Blue 3D 500GB) and HDD (Seagate Barracuda 2TB)
    RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB DDR4
    PSU: EVGA 750 Watts
    Mouse: Logitech G Pro
    Keyboard: Cougar Puri TKL

Almost immediately, I started having problem with both my LAN connection dropping and my peripherals getting disconnected. When I say disconnected, they would remain on like if power was still reaching them but would become unresponsive. After a couple seconds or sometimes minutes, you would hear the Windows peripheral connecting chime and they would start working again.

I would have period where it wouldnt happen, but then it would start again.

What have a tried to fix it so far:

    Reinstalled Windows
Reinstalled all drivers, including the chipset driver
Changed power setting to high performance, including unticking the power management bot for Windows to turn off devices for each individual USB port and device.
    Checked all connections
Installed Ubuntu to test. The problem actually stops happening in Ubuntu.
Checked Event Viewer for any potential errors (none that seemed assocaited to this)
Checked device event to check for any errors (none)
Checked Bios configuration for any potential things. I turned off USB 3.0 just in case. Did nothing.
Tested mouse and keyboard on other computers, They work!

I am honestly out of ideas on what is happening. I have followed instructions frome very forum where they present potential solutions. Is there anything I am missing. I am almost ready to just RMA my motherboard to see if that will do it, but due to the test I ran with ubuntu I doubt it will.

At the same time as the problem above, I started seeing another problem: Event 129 Storachi. This error causes the OS to freeze for a couple seconds and then get back at it.

To solve this problem I have tried many of the same steps above as the fixes in forums for both are similar. I wonder if the problem can be related but haven't have much luck finding forums with any information.

Anyone has seen this two problems together? Are they related? Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have continued investigating. I have kept following instructions to try to fix the problem such as reinstall all drivers, update registry values to disable completely driver suspension. The problem still happens. I have started to see a correlation between the problem happening and me using an internet intensive app. For example when I go to steam and start downloading a game, it start having problems. When I stop the download, it stops happening. Not sure how they are related.
