Mouse and keyboard not working

I'm trying to connect a wireless keyboard and mouse (2 in 1), but when I start up the computer, they don't work, and it's stuck in safe boot, so I can't do ANYTHING. I've tried several USB ports, nothing works. Any ideas?

well if its stuck in safe mode it wouldn't work because windows only loads minimal drivers in safe mode, so you'd need a PS/2 wired keyboard
