Mouse and Keyboard work in bios but not in windows

So long story short, I went through the whole process of downgrading from windows 10 to windows 7, don’t ask. I had trouble with my USB ports. It recognized my mouse and keyboard but a flash drive with drivers needed for internet access? Wouldn’t recognize. My case also had no disc drive so I had to get creative, I reverted to windows 10 to put drivers in the “backups” folder of driver software I downloaded. So after I re-installed windows 7, I had internet access and used Driver easy for all of the drivers I needed. As soon as they finished installing, I got the prompt asking me if I wanna restart now or later, at that moment I noticed my mouse and keyboard no longer functioned. They work fine in bios. I messed around with all available usb related options. I’ve booted in safe mode. Nothing works. Without a mouse and keyboard I can’t access my drivers. What did I do wrong and what are my options?

OK, so you used "free" software (driver easy) and corrupted the OS.
One more reason to NEVER load any "free tools" into your computer.

Insert the WIN 7 disk
Select "upgrade."
This will re-load the OS, without erasing the programs or files.

Drivers: ONLY from the manufactures website. NEVER load drivers from a 3rd party.

NEVER install free software which claims it's going to "fix" your computer.

DRIVERS
1. turn off firewall
2. turn off all security
3. load driver(s)
4. restart computer
5. Turn firewall back on.
What you need to realize is: the firewall and antivirus may block proper installation of drivers. Turn OFF all the security when loading drivers.

Load drivers ONLY from the manufacturer website.
